1 SHARPEN
- Select the appropriate sharpening angle: 17°, 20°, 25°, or 30°. (See guide below to select your angle).
- Place the knife in the carbide sharpening v-slot at the heel of the blade and pull the blade through 5-7 times using light to medium pressure. Check your edge and repeat until sharp. Please note, the amount of pulls will vary depending on the steel type and the dullness of your blade, adding too much pressure will not improve sharpening speed, be patient and your edge will get sharp.
- Use the ceramic stone to refine, hone and polish the blade edge.
2 SERRATIONS
Press the silver button to deploy the Diamond Tapered Rod. This rod can be used to sharpen serrations, touch up fishing hooks and fine edge hand tools. To retract, press the silver button to unlock and fold back into the QuadEdge.
3 SHARPEN FISHING HOOKS
In addition to the Tapered Diamond Rod, the Grooved Ceramic Stone will hone and sharpen fishing hooks. Drag the fishing hook through the groove line inside the ceramic stone. Repeat until sharp.
